Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Chill (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use the Chill iOS application. Chill is a private fridge map for photographing food boxes, parking them on shelves, and marking eat-by dates on this device.
1. Summary
Most records stay on your device. Boxes, eat-by dates, eaten-log snapshots, Coins balance, and unlock records are stored locally. Chill does not operate messaging, live streaming, or stranger-matching features. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
2. Information processed on your device
- Box names, shelf slots, eat-by dates, lid colors, optional photos, and optional reheat notes
- Optional short reheat voice cues
- Eaten-log name snapshots after you mark a box as eaten
- Profile photo if you choose one
- Coins balance and consumable unlock state (crate slots)
- Basic preferences such as eat-by reminders and User Agreement acceptance
3. Permissions
Chill requests system permissions only when related to a feature you use:
- Camera — photograph a food box on Add or Fridge, or a profile photo on Mine when you tap Camera
- Photo Library — choose a box or profile photo, and save eat-list cards
- Microphone — record a short reheat cue when you tap Record on Add or on a box detail
- Notifications — optional evening eat-by reminders
- App Tracking Transparency — the system prompt appears on first open after Continue so you can set Apple’s tracking preference. Chill does not use an advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and parking boxes, browsing the fridge, and marking eat-by dates still work if you decline.
4. Purchases
Coins are consumable In-App Purchases processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Purchase records follow Apple’s App Store terms and privacy practices.
5. Content on this device
Notes stay on this device. Chill may run a local sensitive-word check before saving a box name or note. Chill is not a public plaza and does not publish your fridge to other users.
6. Third parties
Chill does not upload your box photos, voice cues, or notes to third-party automated analysis services.
7. Children
Chill is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required in your region.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision.
